News From The Pitstop

Chairman’s Update April 2015

Since the floods of December 2013 we have been desperately searching for our Forever Home to give us a permanent base where we can offer support services to the most vulnerable people in our community. Whilst carrying out this search we have been working hard to provide support from temporary premises, most recently from the United Reform Church in Leatherhead. Here we continue to offer practical support to homeless, vulnerable and isolated people.

We were hoping to make an announcement early in 2015 about having secured premises but unfortunately this fell through. We are currently considering a couple of other alternatives and are really hopeful that we will shortly be able to share good news with you. Meanwhile, the arrangements at the United Reform Church in Leatherhead have been extended until the end of the Summer.

We want to thank you for your continued support of The Pitstop. It has meant so much to us that, in this time of uncertainty, so many people have been prepared to stand alongside us and offer encouragement and practical support.

We want to thank everyone who contributed to our Forever Home appeal which was launched last year. The appeal has so far raised over £25,000 and this money is being held as ring fenced funds ready to be used for the new Pitstop home.
